Dog Friendly Glamping Near Me With Hot Tub – Shepherd’s Retreats in Northumberland have two shepherd’s cottages. A short walk from Beadnell (lovely pub, lovely dog beach with lots of water sports, restaurants and shops) and Bamburgh and Seahouses so it’s a great base to explore some of the best places. on the coast of Northumberland.
There are two cottages here – one sleeps four and the other sleeps two. We stayed in the Sandpiper which sleeps four. Each house has its own closed garden with equipment, but there is a door between them if you want to rent them together.

There is usually a minimum stay of two nights and prices are around $240-£290 for two nights and this includes hospitality supplies (toiletries, chocolates, wine and fire starters), use of your own hot tub, full linen. and towels. and Wi-Fi. We had a great stay and found the Sandpiper to be a great base for exploring Beadnell.
Ultimate Glamping Experience, North East
We visited with both boys and there were only two negatives to note – the first is that there is some kind of street noise (it dies down around 7pm) and the second is that there was no terrace. There are no safety bars so not really suitable for small children (change to add, the owner got in touch and said they had a safety bar – it was removed before our visit).

The apartments here are fully equipped – everything you need is provided from dishes, towels, firewood, toasters, washers, toilets, cutlery, fridge, bathroom, binoculars, guide books – honestly everything you need. Steve was surprised to find the pliers in the utensil drawer because there is not much room and without the parts he dived into the kitchen. Everything is finished to a very high standard and everything looks clean and classy.
I know most of you can’t imagine going without your toilet and I get it! At Shepherd’s Retreats you have your own private shower, sink and toilet. It is also washable. You can see more bathrooms in our video guide above/below.
Glamping Pods With Hot Tubs In Scotland
It’s not a big problem for us now, but when the kids were little, an enclosed garden was a dream for us. It was always refreshing to be outside knowing the kids wouldn’t be running around in the street. Now as a parent of older children I still appreciate the privacy and it was lovely to be outside in our own space looking out over the coast and Dunstanburgh Castle.
Hot tubs are on many people’s bucket lists when booking a vacation and Shepherds Retreats certainly delivers. It is designed for two, you heat the hot tub with the stove next to it. It takes about 90 minutes to heat up, but once it’s there, it only takes 30 minutes to heat up each time you use it again during a break. This hot tub is the best hot tub I’ve ever been in. It was fun and I think I will burn it myself with a wood stove to add to the experience and enjoy it all. We did a routine where the kids enjoyed their afternoon bath and Steve and I went inside as the sun went down. It was beautiful.
Beadnell is a beautiful place and the beach here really reminds me of parts of Cornwall. The beach is dog friendly, and here you can try your hand at kayaking, kitesurfing, paddle boarding or other water sports. Lessons and equipment rentals are available right on the beach.
We had so much fun watching a family try kayaking – the kids got it right away, leaving their parents struggling to get started. They must have turned around 10 times, but it was a lot of fun for them and it was good for them to shoot. Finally got it! Glamping With Hot Tubs
Bait in Beadnell really feels like the heart of the community and offers great seafood at reasonable prices. I will try to get to Steve’s next time because their crab and fries look divine! There are also many activities such as beach yoga. The people who live here really live the life of my dreams. Beadnell is home to the Craster Arms, one of my favorite places.
Seahouse and Bamburgh are 5 miles away and must be visited. I recommend a cruise with Serenity Tours so you don’t miss the seals and Bamburgh Castle and the beaches.
Box Pizza is just down the street, a 10-minute walk, and is great for takeout or sit-down. Their pizza is divine! Check their Facebook page for opening hours and the latest promotions as they may be up to date. You can read Steve’s review of Box Pizza here.
According to children, if we don’t have fire when we are burning, it is not the right fire. There are many options to choose from, from indoor and outdoor ovens to large BBQ and pizza ovens. Get back to basics in the best way possible. I even added marshmallows!
Accommodation With Hot Tub
A digital detox is great, and we spent less time on our phones during our time at Shepherd’s Retreats. The kids played in the garden, we walked in the hot tub and by the fire, made/roasted marshmallows, played games (we love the silly ones) and read books, and we caught people and went on Instagram. Also
There is also a USB charger (bring a car adapter) and WiFi. Harry was glad he was still watching his YouTube videos and listening to podcasts while enjoying his hot chocolate before bed. Traveling with tweens and tweens, I think it’s a compromise, and I don’t mind that he’s on the phone when he’s working with us in other ways. It helps make the break less ‘stuffy’ and as I always say, it’s a children’s holiday and if they want to have a bit of a chat then why not. It’s all about balance and that’s where the best solution comes in.
Above the king’s bed is a canopy of stars. I’ve never been to one of these before and think that’s the USP. He was at peace lying in bed watching the clouds float in the sky. When did you see the cloud? I don’t remember. I told Steve all weekend how relieved I was. In the evening, when we turned off the lights, it was beautiful to see all the stars shining overhead. There are blinds if you’re worried about the light the next morning, but we didn’t use them and it was fine.
I love that Shepherd’s Retreats are dog friendly. The area is great for dog walking and all the beaches are dog friendly. Dogs are now allowed in groups near Bamburgh Castle and many dog-friendly restaurants/restaurants (you can read about dog-friendly restaurants here).
Luxury Glamping Pod With Hot Tub In Porthmadog, North Wales
Dogs receive a VIP welcome in the guest house with dog grooming supplies, a garden hose for sand washing, dog towels, food and water bowls. As a non-dog owner, you can’t say that this place is dog-friendly and there is no evidence that a dog has ever lived here. Truly the best of both worlds!
The houses have been built by Hexham craftsmen using recycled materials. I love that the bottom of our cabin is part of the Rex Hotel in Whitley Bay. The Huts have received a Silver Green Tourism Award for their efforts including using ‘A’ materials, using landfills, using local businesses to receive their welcome packs, using solar energy, using wood from sustainable forests of 100% They offer natural cleaning products, bird boxes and more.
