Matthews described the environment as vibrant, full of dogs and with plenty of open space for them to roam. She ordered the tasting plate, which included prime rib and small portions of three other meats on the menu. She also loves the Pig ach burger, which she says is a local favorite. Even though there was no food specifically for dogs in the restaurant, Cosmo happily grabbed a few pieces of meat from his mother’s plate—after Matthews made sure the meat was safe to eat, of course.

Bar Primi is a modern, upscale Italian restaurant located in Noho on the Bowery, near large auto stores, small clothing boutiques, and coffee shops. Matthews said some of her favorite menu items are the tomato pasta, ricotta and kale salad. Dogs are allowed in sidewalk seating areas. During the meal, Cosmo charmed the restaurant staff and received lots of caresses and attention.
