There are few roads. One extends from the west side to the north and south. Highway 2 connects the village of East Glacier Park to West Glacier. And the most famous route, Walk-to-the-Sun, runs 50 kilometers through the center of the park from east to west.

Hiking in the sun is a popular way to visit the park. The journey takes approximately 3 hours – each way – if you stop somewhere along the way. And why not stop at the photos?

On the way to the sun, animals are allowed in the designated area. This means public spaces, parking spaces 100 meters from the streets. Naturally, it will be a long day in the car for your dog.

If you’re going for a walk in the sun (and you should), plan to stop a few times along the way so your pups can get out and stretch their paws.
