A beautiful beach in North Devon, Instow is located at the mouth of the River Taw opposite the pretty town of Appledore. Its beautiful scenery and fine sand make it very crowded in summer. Dogs are allowed on some beaches throughout the year, although city end restrictions apply from 1 May to 30 September.

The ever-popular English Riviera has a number of beautiful beaches to offer its visitors, one of which is Midfoot Limestone. This National Trust beach, near Newquay, is dog-friendly all year round and has plenty of sand and rocks for you to explore. The beach is popular with families due to the calm and protected area of ​​Pentaire Point West.

Camber Sands in East Sussex won our overall vote after we realized there was plenty of sand on the beach and low tide at lunchtime was the best time to visit, exposing us to a wide expanse of beautiful golden dog sand. and competition around.

We took a quick look at Trip Advisor and most of the reviews were very positive. Bags of towels, doggy bags, antibacterial gel, baby wipes and masks (just in case) and off we go! The drive took about an hour and a half, after which we tried to find a parking spot near the beach. We discovered that not all beaches were dog friendly when we pulled into the parking lot and found a large sign that said, “Dogs are not allowed on this beach, ask the staff.” Luckily, there was an attendant at the parking kiosk who advised us to just drive to the end of the road, and there was a dog-friendly parking area near the beach. It took us about a minute to get to this parking lot and it was easy.

It was truly an amazing sight to see! I took off my shoes in the car as the sandy road to the beautiful grassy beach provided a great view of the deep blue sea against the blue sky.

We walked along the beautiful beach towards the sea, which, considering it was September, was so welcoming and warm. Both dogs were happy to be tied inside for shooting and paddling until we bought a frisbee, which encouraged a lot of play. They are fun to watch in the water as they jump through the waves and encourage them to swim with a dog paddle. This is a far cry from the dogs we adopted from Paws.
