This guide is designed to provide information about the dining experience you can expect when visiting Mumbles and Gower. The assessment is based on our own recent experience. We are always looking for new opportunities to bring Buddy to new restaurants.

New Gower Hotel is quiet and peaceful, offers pet friendly accommodation and dogs are allowed in the bar area where they can be fed. Dogs are also welcome in the restaurant and covered terrace, and this can be a great experience during the summer. There is a wide variety of dishes and they offer it only in the afternoon – you have to order in advance. It is possible to walk from the hotel through the valley to Pwll Du beach. It takes about 50 minutes each way or vice versa, you can go back via the summit and Bishopston.

Three Cliffs Coffee is famous for its delicious homemade food, especially its delicious pastry selection. Dogs are happily welcomed and there is a special area downstairs where pet owners can eat together. This cafe is located near the stunning footbridge along the beautiful cliffs of South Gower.

A 30 minute walk west you can explore Pobbles Bay and Three Cliffs Bay. If you travel in the opposite direction, it will take you around 40 minutes to reach Pwll Du. These beaches are dog-friendly all year round, but in summer they can be very hot and there is no shade for dogs. It is important to keep your dog on a lead as there are sheep, cattle and horses in the area.

If you’re looking for local gifts and souvenirs, Pennard Stores offers a great selection. They have a lot of local and Welsh themed products. This store looks even more delicious. This is a great option whether you are local or visiting the area. There is free parking outside the shop, but there is also a larger National Trust car park down the road.

There are clear signs, both visually and literally, that this is one of the most dog-friendly pubs in Gower. There was a bowl of dog cakes behind the bar, and the waiter brought out some food for all the dogs. That day he heard and there were many. Our friends also ate the main course … chorizo and ice cream. This is definitely a popular destination for dog owners. The outside terrace is occupied, the owner of the dog sits more than 2:1.

We sampled the food between us, choosing pea and mint soup served with crusty bread, brie and blueberry baguette and the famous King’s Head burger. We all enjoyed our lunch, the soup was fresh and full of flavor and the bread was freshly baked. I suspect the burger is locally sourced and served with triple cooked patties and fries.

There was plenty of beer on the bar and a bottle of Gower Gold in the fridge. When busy, king has a lot of atmosphere and the location is inspired by the view to the Norman Church connected to PJ’s Surf. In the distance there are Rhossili Downs and a view of Rhossili Bay. The pub retains its character, with many improvements over the years to improve the visitor experience, including cabin-style accommodation in the rear. Summer and winter are popular destinations.

Dog Friendly Cottages On The Llŷn Peninsula

Britannia Guesthouse is commonly known as ‘The Brit’ and has a decent reputation for good quality food and local sourcing. It is a country pub with a traditional warm atmosphere. The beer garden overlooks the North Gower Marsh, which is famous for its unique medicinal taste given to local sheep. Dogs are allowed in the bar and park area. There are plenty of tables sheltered from the summer sun. You can find some rich local walks including the 3 hour walk to Whiteford Lighthouse (shown in our walking guide). Inside the bar you will find a charming and unique corner fireplace with a cozy log burner to warm your feet. Whatever the year, this 17th century bar has a cozy atmosphere with low beamed ceilings, antique flooring, exposed stone walls and antique wooden tables and chairs. Parts of the pub still retain the original toaster and old gas lamps, adding to its historic charm.

The beam in the reception area is said to come from the sinking of the ship that was salvaged and landed by destroyers to claim their valuables. Despite its dark past, contrary to the history of Llanmadoc about the betrayal of sailors who were deceived on the beach, the bar today is a place to warm up people who are suddenly tired. In the bar you can enjoy a variety of drinks such as real ales, premium beers, ales and ciders along with other casual choices you can expect. The bar offers a varied menu, including a special panel with a wide selection.

In addition, there is a restaurant (no dogs allowed) that offers special menus, special menus and menus on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. On Sundays they serve delicious traditional barbecues of local Gower Salt Marsh lamb, Selwyn seaweed, Swansea smoked salmon and Gower golden Ale.

Welcome to the center of Gower and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is a national liquor store that is popular with locals and visitors alike. Dogs are welcome in the bar below. The night we visited the bar was very busy but there were almost as many dogs as customers. The service is excellent and the bar food is good, there are many specials and the regular menu offers tapas, pastas and pizzas as well as your usual bar food. There is a restaurant on the first floor but dogs are not allowed. There are dog cakes in the bar and there is a table outside in good weather.

Langland’s Brasserie is located next to Langland Beach. Although dogs are not allowed, there is an outside terrace with a great view of the beach. Half of the outdoor area is clearly defined for dogs and their owners. Open from morning to night, it’s a great place to enjoy the beautiful scenery while having a drink, a snack or a full meal. Warm blankets are available during cold weather. Staff welcome dogs and provide treats. The water bowl is kept on the terrace and the staff is happy to fill it with fresh water if you have a wolf dog like us who only drinks water that other dogs don’t touch. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere at Langland Brasserie are always amazing.

Please note that while dogs are welcome all year round on the Brasserie Langland terrace, the beach itself is not dog-friendly during the summer. We spent a lot of time at Brasserie de Langland in late fall and spring, but it was difficult for us during the summer because Buddy did not immediately understand why he could not run on his favorite beach when he was away. This may not be a problem for visitors as the dog is not familiar with the beach and will relax instead of waiting anxiously to get to the sand. As an alternative to the beach there is a cliff walk from Langland to Caswell, which takes about 25 minutes, so allow an hour for the return trip. The dogs must remain on the lead as the course is popular with runners.

Surfside Café is a year-round favorite with dog owners. They always welcome dogs and actively celebrate October 1, when the dog ban is lifted. The menu is cafeteria-style and includes breakfast, sandwiches and hamburgers. Salads and dips are always good! There is ice cream, coffee and cake. If you want a change, try the London Fog and Chai Latte. Between Llanelli and Swansea near Loughor’s
