Don’t you hate answering the question of where to leave your dog on vacation? The struggle is real. I try to leave Simba with a family member if possible. Fortunately, there is usually someone in the family who can take care of Simba for a few days. I have no hesitation in going with the Simba family because the family loves him as much as I do.
He was around many of our families and everyone treated him well. Everyone loves Simba! I love that he can be with other dogs that he plays with regularly and knows his surroundings. He is always nice when we visit family. He likes attention.

Sometimes the hotels we stay at may not be pet friendly. If only all hotels were pet friendly and there were pet friendly areas everywhere, you wouldn’t have to worry about where to leave your dog on holiday. It was a lot of fun and I could take Simba to the beach on my first trip, but I couldn’t this time.
Holiday Pet Care
As much as we wished we could have brought Simba with us, we knew he would be safe with his family while we were away. Simba had a great time with the family while we were there, but he sure was happy to see us!
We were certainly glad to come home with him. It is not a good idea to leave your dog with someone who is afraid of dogs or has no experience with them. You should try to leave your dog with someone who has a dog or at least has experience with dogs, loves dogs and knows your dog well.
If your family members or friends are not around, you can always walk your dog somewhere. As always, you should do your research and inspection before you bring your dog and throw him around strangers. You should really look at the reviews and ask people what they recommend.
A shelter or animal shelter is a place where you can leave your dog overnight, for a few days or for a longer period of time. Your vet may offer boarding services, so check with your vet first to ensure your dog is comfortable with the vet and their staff.
