Are there activities in the area that you would enjoy with your dog?

Dog Friendly Vacations In Europe: The Best Destinations

Burlington, Vermont is one of the most dog-friendly places in New England. With outdoor attractions and a charming, laid-back city, Burlington is a dog’s playground like no other. You will find many interesting things to do with your little one. Bike the Burlington Greenway along Lake Champlain, then stop for a local brewer at one of the city’s top doghouses. Burlington companies that allow children on their patios include Foam Brewers and Zero Gravity Craft Brewery, while places like Switchback Brewing Co also allow dogs indoors. Church Street Market, one of New England’s largest pedestrian (and ice cream-friendly) malls, offers plenty of friendly restaurants and shopping. For pet-friendly accommodations, Made Inn Vermont, a modern B&B within walking distance of downtown, offers you and your dog a comfortable home away from home.

When the dog days of summer arrive, there’s no better place to be with your dog than Cape Cod! With miles of pristine beaches, irresistible charm, and plenty of outdoor activities, Cape Cod is the perfect summer destination for people and dogs. You will have a lot of fun visiting Cape Cod Beach. This sunny stretch of sandy beaches and trails allows dogs on leashes even during peak season. Afterwards, quench your thirst at Provincetown Brewing Company. They are dog friendly (and socially conscious), there is a dog house with a sign that says “I bite racists” in the beer garden. There are also great wildlife spots in the Cape. Check your wallet at the Chatham Bars lounge or try walking your dog around the campsite at Nickerson State Park.

Cape Cod National Seashore is one of the many reasons to visit Cape Cod with your dog.

For a beach vacation with your dog, visit Cape Elizabeth, Maine. About five miles south of Portland, it’s a great place to get away from it all without going too far. The South End of Fort Williams State Park, home to the famous Portland Head Lighthouse, has a large grassy area where dogs can run and play. Of course, you can’t visit Maine without trying the local lobster roll, and Bite in Maine has an outdoor food truck located in the park and animal exhibit tables. Higgins Beach is a popular place for children to roll in the sand and take a dip in the water. After a long day in the sun, relax at the Inn by the Sea, a beach resort that provides excellent care for pets and their owners.

Dog Friendly Glamping Resorts For 2021 Vacations

You and your dog will love exploring Nantucket together. This small island off the coast of Cape Cod has almost no lights and plenty of New England beauty. Once you board the boat, where you’ll see many pet owners walking, it’s clear that Nantucket is a great place for dogs. Choose from tons of things to do that are dog-friendly, from hiking the Sconset Bluff Walk to exploring historic monuments. There are good dog parks in town, including the breakfast joint Black-Eyed Susan’s and the American bistro Queequeg’s. Stay for a while at the peaceful B&B Brass Lantern Inn, which welcomes four-legged friends in select rooms for a fee.

This dog-friendly town in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is a must-see. Known as the Ski Capital of the East, Stowe draws visitors from near and far to its world-famous destination each winter. But with plenty of outdoor activities in every season, Stowe is a great place to relax with your dog.

For more adventures, Smuggler’s Notch State Park offers miles of trails through the expansive Green Mountains. For something more low-key (but fun), you and your dog will want to walk the Stowe Recreational Trail. This 11-mile paved road is lined with dog-friendly restaurants and wineries along the way. Also, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to stay in the area for every budget. Resorts like the Trapp Family Lodge, Topnotch Resort and the Lodge at Spruce Peak offer a natural setting. But if you’re looking for something more affordable, consider staying with your dog at the Field Guide Lodge or The Stowehof.
